Women of Color Collective, Black Law Students Association, Latino/a American Law Students Association, Outlaw, Hofstra Law Women, Military Law Society, South Asian Law Students Association, Asian Pacific American Law Students Association and the Office of Career Services will be reviewing the various scholarships, fellowships and legal internships that law firms, companies and bar associations sponsor for candidates with diverse backgrounds and perspectives to foster inclusion within the workplace and the legal profession. Public interest opportunities in non-profit organizations, local, state, and federal government will also be discussed. The focus of the program is for 1L’s with diverse backgrounds but all other interested students with diverse backgrounds may attend.
The presentation, held in room 230, will be followed by tabling in the Leeds Brown Atrium (outside Room 250). Attendees will hear details from students with experience in judicial internships, big law, public interest and diversity fellowships thanks to our student organization co-sponsors. Want to know about the ins and outs of the application process? Or what to wear to work? Or tips on how to navigate the workplace climate? Join us to get all of your questions answered by current Hofstra Law students and OCS personnel.
Your in person attendance is requested. You must show your Pride Pass to be admitted to room 230 and the atrium for the program.
