Legal Tech Skills Certificate (Microsoft Excel Part 2)
The six-week Legal Tech Skills Certificate will teach lawyers, paralegals, and legal support personnel the essential skills needed to use the programs law firms already use daily - Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
These courses will train participants on how to:
- properly create, format, index, hyperlink and bookmark documents including wills, contracts, pleadings, motion papers and trial memoranda;
- more efficiently, effectively and securely use email;
- redact, OCR, and Bates stamp documents;
- comply with certain e-filing requirements; and
- manipulate and work with spreadsheets and presentations to improve the services they offer to their clients.
Each course includes one virtual 2-hour live session, step-by-step recorded instructions for completing key tasks, and a tip sheet for each program.
Registrants can sign up for individual classes or for all six. Classes are held via Zoom.
$199 per course. $995 if participants register for all six courses together.
Each course qualifies for 2.0 CLE credits in Law Practice Management, and participants will receive a certificate for completing all six classes.

The Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University is certified by the New York State Continuing Legal Education Board as an accredited provider of continuing legal education (CLE) in the state of New York. New York CLE credits are available to satisfy the mandatory, transitional/nontransitional requirements for attorneys attending the program. Lawyers admitted in jurisdictions other than New York should check with those jurisdictions to determine CLE requirements in their states.
