Smacked: A Story of White-Collar Ambition, Addiction, and Tragedy

Monday, March 8 | 12:10-2 p.m. ET | Held via Zoom

Eilene Zimmerman, author of Smacked: A Story of White-Collar Ambition, Addiction and Tragedy (Random House, Feb. 2020) will join us for a reading and discussion about her book that traces her ex-husband's descent into drug addiction while a high-powered attorney. Ms. Zimmerman focuses on opioid abuse in the US which resonates across classes and cultures, impacting law schools and the legal profession as a whole.

This event is free, open to the public, and will be held via Zoom.

About the author

Eilene Zimmerman is a journalist and social worker. For three decades, she has written about business, technology and social issues for a wide array of national magazines and newspapers. She was a columnist for The New York Times Sunday Business section for six years and since 2004 has been a regular contributor to the newspaper.
