Legal Innovation Tournament: Compete against NYS Law Students to Develop Apps
Legal Innovation Tournament
Compete against New York State law students to develop apps that
help serve the underrepresented and change the face of dispute resolution.
Thursday, October 29, 2020 | 2:30-3:30 p.m. | Tournament Workshop
January 11-12, 2021 | Virtual Event
Co-sponsored by JAMS and American Arbitration Association
The apps, when developed, will be used to help assist those who are unrepresented by facilitating their ability to address problems they may have through technology, and by improving and making more accessible dispute resolution platforms.
Finalists will work with Hofstra University’s computer technologists to develop the app and seek to bring it to market. The winning team in each category will receive $500 thanks to the generous support of the Dispute Resolution of the New York State Bar Association.
The Legal Innovation Tournament is open to all New York state second- and third-year law students.
Law students can register as individuals or teams of 4. Individual registrants will be placed on a team. No prior technical background is required, and there is no cost to participate.
We seek imaginative, creative thinkers to participate.
