The world has changed dramatically over the past few months, and the real estate industry is only starting to adapt. Join our panel of experts to explore emerging trends in residential, retail and commercial real estate on Long Island.

 

PANELISTS

Whitney Araco
Executive Vice President, Head of Marketing & Retail Leasing, RXR Realty

As the Executive Vice President - Head of Marketing and Retail Leasing at RXR Realty, Whitney is responsible for overseeing the marketing and communications of RXR Realty’s 25.6 million square feet of commercial assets in Manhattan and the surrounding region, as well as the concepts, design strategy, marketing and strategic branding initiatives for 6,200 multi-family units in planning across the region. As the Head of Retail Leasing, Whitney oversees the strategy and implementation for the 1.1 million sf of retail space across RXR’s portfolio.

 

Scott Burman
Principal & Construction President, Engel Burman

Scott has been a Principal at Engel Burman (EB) since 2001 and has presided as President of Engel Burman Construction (EBC) since 2012. While remaining actively involved in directing the overall investments and operations of EB, as President of EBC he designed and implemented a corporate restructuring and an expansion platform. This has allowed for the company to triple its business volume during his tenure and advance operations into a variety of new business sectors. He manages a team of more than 100 employees, oversees regional construction projects and a robust pre-construction pipeline. Scott and his team are responsible for an aggregate construction volume in excess of a billion dollars at any given time.

 

Frank Pusinelli, RA
Executive Vice President, Chief Operation Officer, Commercial & Logistics, RXR Realty

Frank serves as Chief Operating Officer for the Commercial & Logistics business segment at RXR where he oversees marketing, leasing and property management. He is responsible for all business planning, budgeting and operational activities. Frank oversees the physical due diligence and revenue and expense underwriting for potential acquisitions as well as the immediate and long-term capital improvement plans, asset repositioning strategies and design ideas. He oversees all tenant improvement and capital construction projects for the Company’s Commercial & Logistics assets. Frank sets policies, procedures and goals within the Segment in keeping with the direction provided for the Company by the Executive Management Team.

 

David Wolkoff 
Principal, Heartland Business Center

Description automatically generatedDavid is a principal at Heartland Business Center, a privately owned real estate company in the New York tri-state area. He oversees the acquisition, financing, management, and development of major real estate projects. Currently, he is focused on 5 Pointz Towers, a 1.3 million square foot development consisting of two towers (48 and 41 stories) in Long Island City, Queens, as well as the development of Heartland Town Square, a 450 acre "smart growth" community in Edgewood, NY (Suffolk County, Long Island.)
