Wednesday, October 24 | Noon - 1 p.m. | Hofstra Law School | Room 206
This program will provide information on the many diversity opportunities available for summer employment, as well as fellowship and scholarship information. One of the featured programs that will be discussed is the New York City Bar Diversity Fellowship Program, which offers first-year law students from under-represented populations a unique summer employment opportunity in outstanding law firms, corporate law departments and the New York County District Attorney's Office and New York City Law Department. Compensation for these summer employment opportunities vary from employer to employer but are expected to be in the approximate range of $800 to $3,300 per week.
This session will provide details for first year students who are interested in submitting applications for this Fellowship. You will receive information on the application process and timing, hear from second and third year students who were Fellows in 2017 and 2018 and have the opportunity to ask questions about the program. Information regarding other diversity opportunities will be presented as well.
