Finding and Funding Your Summer Public Interest Internship
The Office of Career Services will conduct an information session to guide public-interest minded students about how to facilitate their job search. This program is intended for any student who intends to work in a public sector position next summer or after graduation. The Class of 2018 should note that the majority of 1L students secure their first law school-related internship within the public sector regardless of whether their practice areas of interest ultimately lead them to work in the public sector after graduation.
Therefore this presentation will provide an overview that will focus on:
• Providing students with greater understanding of the range of public interest service work;
• where to search for job opportunities;
• how to present your interest and qualifications in your application and interview; and
• funding opportunities.
Thursday, November 3 | Noon - 1 p.m. | Maurice A. Deane School of Law | Room 206
