Please join us for the showing of the classic film that famously explored the issues of law and racial injustice that remain pertinent today. Professors Gurevich and Silber will assess the relationship of race and criminal law in American history and discuss controversial aspects of the film and the book it was based on, interrogating the “heroic” in the construction of the central character.
